In the pulverizers, according to different classification methods, the pulverizer can be divided into a lot of different types, according to the way of grinding can be divided into room temperature pulverizer and cryogenics pulverizer. According to the principle of grinding can be divided into a rotor type pulverizer and disc type pulverizer. According to the difference between the rotor type pulverizer and disc type pulverizer, we can quickly and accurately select the suitable pulverizer to grind the corresponding materials. Although both are called pulverizers, there are many similarities but many differences.

1. The similarities between rotor type Plastic Pulverizer and Disc type Plastic Pulverizer

1.1  Same working mode

Both pulverizers are composed of feeding hopper into small particle materials, the pipeline into the grinding chamber, in using rotary blades and stationary blades under the interaction of the material grinding into powder, after air conveying device, air blower transport into the vibrating screen. After the screening, qualified size material is collected, packaging has not yet been fully grinding powder material is brought into the grinding chamber again further grinding, so as to make the output of the material to achieve the effect of the grinding powder completely.

1.2   Same shape

The rotor type pulverizer and disc type pulverizer has the appearance of the same structure. From the appearance, they are not directly to distinguish the knife disc pulverizer and grind disc pulverizer, they are the largest, the most visible difference, can be seen from the name, the structure of blade is different, but because the blades are put into the grinding chamber, so can't directly from the appearance to distinguish them.

1.3 Different materials

(1) Rotor type pulverizer is generally suitable for PVC and other rigid materials. Because the rigid material is subjected to shear force between the rotary blades and stationary blades of the rotor type pulverizer, it can be easily cut into powder.

Advantages: high output and low energy consumption.       Weakness: Unable to grind soft and tough materials.

(2) Generally, a disc type pulverizer is suitable for PP/PE and other soft and tough materials. 

Because the soft and tough material knife disk is difficult to cut up these materials, therefore, in order to achieve the effect of grinding, the rotor type is improved into a disc type, so that the stationary blades and rotary blades of the disc type cooperate with each other, so that these strong toughness materials ground into powder.

Advantages: It can grind the material with strong toughness into powder.   Disadvantages: Low output capacity, high temperature when grinding materials.

(3) Different motor power

The power of rotor type pulverizer is ususlly smaller than the power of disc type pulverizer.

(4) Different machine output

The capacity of rotor type pulverizer is usually higher than that of disc type pulverizer.
